This site is dedicated to the memory of Jenny Hambrook.

Sallyann & Greg encourage friends and family to share their memories, anecdotes and pen pictures of Jenny (AKA Mum or Dragon-in-Law) so that they may one day share these with their own family, as photos alone cannot do Jenny the justice she deserves!

I just wanted to tell you, Mum, how very much I cared, and just how much it meant to me to know that you were there. You've always been behind me in all I've dreamed or planned. I turned to you when I needed someone who'd care and understand. Today I'm sending all my love and hope it makes you see, just how much I appreciated all the love you've given to me.
A mother's love brightens our days and warms our hearts in so many ways.

Jenny and I went to the Isle of Wight in December 2009 for a trip which is described as a Turkey and Tinsel trip.I was already on the coach when Jenny got on at the Bobbing Apple and although there was a weight limit on luggage Jenny cared not a jot, as she stowed her suitcase including her wellingtons and clambered aboard. We had a lovely time, going on different trips during the day, sitting in the bar at night.Jenny wasn't a hundred pecent fit, and one day after venturing into Newport felt rather unwell and we returned to the hotel and I called the doctor, I thought that Bill would have to come and pick her up and take her home. The next day imagine my surprise when Jenny awoke had a shower and off we went again, this time to purchase a pirate hat complete with hair attached (Jenny had lost her hair by this time) and dressed up that night for a fancy dress that had been arranged, she looked great, I then realised what the wellingtons were for. We visited Osbourne House that was decorated for christmas and as we left Jenny said she would like to return in the summer when all the flowers were out if she was still here, alas this wasn't to be. I have such lovely memories of that trip, the laughs we had,the visits to the charity shops which were Jenny's favourites, the bargains we got even if we didn't really need them.In the six years I knew Jenny I found her to be a generous kind and patient person always ready to give advise when asked. I will miss her. Margaret (Glover)
