Both my Wife and I attended your Mother's funeral service today (Anne & Dave Gurney)for an obscure reason. I, Dave, attended Rochester Math School with your Dad, we both played hockey and were goalkeepers! I also bumped into you and your Dad when he was driving coaches and he conveyed Medway Bowls team to New Romney approx 9 years ago. We missed the funeral of your Dad and although my Wife had played hockey against your Mum, it was more my connection with Peter through school and playing hockey for the Old Williamsonians that decided us to attend today. It was a very nice service and exceptionally well attended which speaks volumes for your Mum. One last tale of your Dad, he was never interested in art at school and on one occasion he had not done his art homework. So, I did a last minute sketch to get him out of a hole and avoid getting a detention. Blow me down if he did not get a higher mark than I did for that homework which always amused me! May they both rest in peace together.
