From Jane Baker (nee Austin)
Jenny and I were in the same year at Sittingbourne Girls Grammar School. Jenny excelled at all sorts of sport - I pretty much hated all of them. I remember watching her play tennis with awe - I did like tennis but was pretty rubbish at playing it. Nevertheless we were friends. Most importantly we met up twice three years ago after a gap of 40 years. It was like we had seen each other regularly in the intervening years and Jenny, Anne and I had a lot of catching up to do. Several times since 2007 Jenny and I got close to meeting again (most recently this year)but it did not quite happen. I am so glad we did so that I heard Jenny describing her life since schooldays, how proud she obviously was of Sallyann, how much she loved her horse and of her happiness with Bill. The service on Friday was memorable and captured something of all the aspects of Jenny's life for which she will be long-remembered.
